Box Project

                                     Finally Finished!

Hello guys! In last 3 weeks we were working with a box. Here I mean that we have chosen our own product ( that doesn't really exist) and make a box to it. And we are gonna make a poster, video commercial and write a raport. It was a big project. Now Im finished with the box and this week we are gonna make some records to video commercial. The point wa that people shouldn't see that we  make picture or we could ask for taking the picture. I chose the harder option. And here you go! Here are three of my pictures. It's only 4 days until we get our grades from autumn 2015. Im wondering what i get :P Our drawing teacher ( Siggen) wanted to see all our drawing tommorow. I hope he will like them. Drawings are also graded. What you think?

Hey guys. I waited for that moment very long time! And there it is! First video on my youtube channel. There was a lot of tries and hard work. But finnaly it's finished. Media with Atle!

Hey guys! We had new teacher in media lessons. His name is Atle. He is quite cool, but he is getting mad when people listen to the music while he talks. I understand his frustration. But anyway he gave us a good challenge. He gave everyone 4 pictures and we had to make an opera poster out of it. Here is mine:

My Own Project!!!

Hey guys! On Friday 13th (unlucky day) we started with our own projects. So it was a lucky day (for me). My project is to make minecraft trailer. I was big minecraft fan before but it started to be boring after some years XD . Now I want to get a little bit back in time and make a new trailer. I want very much to show you a screenshot of what I have already made but I don't do this. Everything will be a surprise :p. So for they who don't know what minecraft is... here is a picture that describes mineraft a little bit :) Everything will be ready on friday 27th of november (Black Friday). I will tell something more about it when it comes.

Movie in the class

                                     12 years a slave

Hey guys! My class were watching a movie. This movie was : 12 years a slave. Here is my interpretation and kind of review of the movie:

The movie started peacefully at the beginning. Even if on the streets there was a lot of dark-skinned people, so there was not much of racism. Solomon was dark-skinned person and he was main character in the movie.He had wife and children. He was very fond of playing on his violin, and he was very good.

One day he gets a chance to get paid for playing violin. He goes to the restaurant and drinks a lot of alcohol with people who gave him that work. Solomon gets drunk and wakes next morning in the dark room with chains on his arms and feet.

One day he gets to the place where he is a slave. He has been there in 12 years and one day he gets free again. Solomon is one of few dark-skinned people who gets back to their homes alive.

The movie is mostly sad. It has shown me what really happened with dark skinned people in USA. Racism is something terrible. All people has equal rights to live their live how they want. We have to fight for racism and equal rights.

Hey. A lot of people are having fun on internett but sometimes they are getting in trouble becouse of small stupid things! Here are some clues on what to do to not get in trouble:

New digital medium like internett and smartphone makes smaller difference between media producer and media user. Pc has been called "everything possible box" becouse you can listen to the radio, watch tv, read e-mail, chat and surf on the internett. You can use pc or mac to share sound, videos, texts and different messages. On different pages it's possible to blogg and comment.

This chapter is about New Media. With new media i mean things that has been in use in last 15-20 years.

From reading to blogging:

In these day we got cheap high tecnology. This means that our possibilities are much bigger than few years ago. It's possible to normal people make a high quality product.

We can share our things on the internett. This possibility made us medium senders. A lot of people started with blogging. Most popular in blooging these days is cooking and fashion bloggs. But if someone got a problem and they can't solve it so they can just write it on a blogg and they get an answer from people who knows how to solve the problem or who had the same problem. Main idea is to find the right blogg.

Nobody is editor of the internett:

We are  habit that what we hear and see on internett is mostly correct. These media has editors that are legally responsible. It means that everything what has been shared is quality assured.

We know that a lot of stuff on internett are mostly correct but not everything. The thing is that we have to learn to see difference between real and fake information. A lot of people are using chat sites. They have to see and know when someone is talking true and when someone is lying. A lot of people though that they were talking with someone on their age but it was someone else who is much older.

E-mail,SMS,blogging and chatting:
Email can be recieved whenever and reciever don't needs to be online to get it. Messages will be saved and reciever can read them whenever he or she wants. Email is newer version of post sending but it happens on pc.

 Homepage:
Some years ago it was hard to make a site but today it's easy with standard programs we use daily. It's  very possible that You has already made a site or you are gonna make it. In homepage we present  ourselves with pictures, text and animation. Personal sites are often made for friends or special kind of people that we has chosen. For example this blogg is made to my school and people who wants to learn about media and communication. But rememember that everyone can read it or your work giver can search your name to find out something about you.

Chatting:
We write while we chat but it happens in oral way. We write same way as we talk. When you write email to anyone he hasn't be online but if you chat so both of you have to be online.

Blogg:
Blogg is something between personal site and open discussion site. Blogg is a kid of "web logg". Most popular kind of blogg is a diary. People write how they feel and about their problems in life. They get often answers on how to solve a problem. Blogg can also be used to discussions. For example new game is gonna be released people talk about it and what they think about that game.

SMS and MMS:
Sms is almost like chat but you don't need internett connection to send mesages. SMS is oral chat too. People use a lot of shortcuts and differend kinds of slang.

Virtual Life:

People in these days are very virual. Nobody cares to go to the bank becouse they can look at their account from a smartphone app or their computer. A lot of people play a lot of virtual games too. MMO games is kind of second life. People play this kind of games to live a virtual life and do whatever they want.

Wiki:

Most popular site to find information is Wikipedia. Word wiki stands for : What I Know Is... Wikipedia has a lot of facts about different things. I always used it when I had a presentation at school. But there are a lot of sites like wikipedia. Very important thing is that people has to learn what is true and what is false.

Mediabook chapter 1

Hey again. Today im gonna write as short as possible the first chapter of my book :)

                                Chapter 1: Shout it out

What is communication?
Media is a thing that helps us to communicate. We communicate since we are born. The first thing a baby do is to shout or cry. After some time baby learns to communicate. It cries when it needs food or drink.

Animals communicates too. If you are owner of a cat or a dog that you will know when your animal needs food or go out and pee. For example if a dog wants to pee it stands in front of the door and tries to get out.

Remember: It's not possible to not communicate.

Sender >  Receiver > The Message

A communication process has at least two parts: a sender and the receiver. A sender is that person that has the message. Receiver is that one that recive the message. The message is something to think about.

Personal communication:

Personal communication is short said a conversation between to persons. It is called

Bidiretional Communication.

Mass Communication:

If you write an article in newspaper or blog in this reason you mass communicate. A lot of people can read what you are writing. This time the communication goes only one way. Its becouse that no one can answer on a newspaper article or talk to the radio.

Medium:

The word " Medium" is from latin and it means "thing in the middle" or " in between". Tv, newspapers, internett and radio is good exaple on what a medium is. Our body is also a kind of medium. When we talk we communicate. We communicate with body language too. Back to the word medium. Newspaper is a medium becouse its in the middle. It's between you and sender or journalist. And newspaper contains the message.

Medium process:

To get everything work in ''Media World" so everything has to be in right order. When a sender is talking on the radio or writing an article, he things of what he is saing. Someone can misunderstand what he means so everything must be precisely.

Text and Pictures:
Media process is concentrating on sender, message and receiver, but Text modell is concentrating on receiver and understanding messages.

Characters:
Smiley is a character
@ is a character
G is a character
Red tskirt is a character
Green traffic light is a character

Characters are helping us in all kinds of communication. A character is something that shows us something else than itself. We are so good to understand characters that we don't even know it. Our brain is very big archieve. For example if we look at green light while we drive that we automatically drive and we don't thing of what green light means. Next example is word guitar. Someone will think about electric guitar that Iron Maidon use and someone will think about classic guitar.
